Physical Tests
Position Drills
Height
Height will be measured to the nearest half-inch.
Weight
Weight will be measured to the nearest pound.
Body Photo
Photo will give coaches a visual of your body type and build.
 
Each event will be scored twice for scoring purposes. The best times will be used for the final score sheet.

Drill Descriptions below
         

DRILL DESCRIPTIONS
Bench 185lbs (H.S.) or 225lbs (Pro) for repetitions; The bar will be set for the correct lbs -athletes will perform as many reps as possible ( the bar must touch the chest, and fully extend for the rep to count athletes may arch their backs, however their hips must stay on the bench for the rep to count.)This test upper body power.

40 yard dash ; The athlete will start from a 3 point stance and on command run 40 yards as fast as possible for time. The timer starts on athlete movement (false stepping at the start will result in a slower time.) Emphasis should be on quick first start and strong finish as well as good mechanics. This tests pure raw speed.

5-10-5 pro agility; The athlete will start from 3 point start on the line with the middle cone, on command run 5 yards to the first cone touch the ground turn and run 10 yards to the far cone and finish by touching the ground-turning and running back through the starting point 5 yards away for the best timed score possible. Emphasis should be on explosive first step, proper deceleration a good plant and explosive redirection. This drill measures speed and agility.

Vertical jump (static); With jump pad, athlete will step on pad with both feet, squat-jump and reach as high as possible with straight legs and soft knees. With a vertec, athlete will stand on both feet, squat-jump and reach as high as possible on the vertec for the best possible score. This measures lower body power.
