Q: Tell us about your college choice, career and what the recruiting process was like.

A: I wanted to make a difference, do the “impossible” and I wanted to be remembered so I went to a school that I had to settle for due to circumstances and made new goals to change the program around. The biggest challenge during the recruiting process was telling D1 schools that I will no longer be considering their school because of those same circumstances.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: Accomplishing my goal for college by turning a 3-7 team, being 3 with the most wins the school has ever had and turning it into a 7-3 team with the chance of being bowl eligible.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?

A: Be confident, be comfortable and play.

Q: What is/was your biggest challenge and how do/did you manage it?

A: My biggest challenge was managing 6 classes, an RA position and playing football. I managed it by making it clear that school came first, then football, then my RA position and I found a mutual understanding with all higher authorities to balance out my schedule.

Q: What is your biggest strength or X factor that you bring to a professional team?

A: Leadership and the will to learn from players and coaches

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My mother, there were consequences for everything including rewards because she settled for nothing less than perfection. Dropped passes were 200 pushups, fumbles were 300 pushups and anything that a coach would bench you for she made up the consequences.

Q: What are your goals with football? If football does not work out, then what?

A: To be a legend and also to give to those who are less fortunate because I am one of them. I haven’t thought that far yet if football doesn’t work out but having finished school I would look to coach or be a sports psychologist.

Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations?

A: I got a personal trainer for the first time in my life in which we trained 6 days a week and my expectations are to get the proper exposure to get signed to a team.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: To play professional football

Q: If you have to compare yourself to a current pro player, who would it be and why?

A: Earl Thomas; because my playing style is similar, my eye for the ball, my leadership, my willingness to win, to put my team in the best position to be successful and lastly my eagerness to be great.
