Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.

A:  This past season was my freshman season.  I was a starting WR. I had 2 touchdown catches.  During the season I played as a 3rd RB, kick returner, and nickel back on defense.  I have established a NCSA recruiting profile account and a profile with Bleechr.com to help in my recruiting since I am a rising sophomore this season.

Q: When did you receive your first offer and what school was it from? How many offers have you received thus far?

A:  I have not received any college offers yet.  I am looking forward to getting on the field this season to start drawing interest from colleges.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A:  I would say it would be coming back from an injury that caused me to sit out my 8th grade season and returning to the field to become a starter for my freshman season.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at your school?

A:  How to understand route concepts and how to read defensive coverages.

Q: What have you learned during this unique time in 2020? What did you focus on or accomplish during Quarantine?

A:  During quarantine I have been taking advantage of this time by staying busy and continuing to work on my craft.  I have been working out with my trainer doing track work, speed and agility training, and weightlifting.  I also have been watching film from the past season to see what I need to improve on for the upcoming season and watching youtube videos of college and NFL players to see what drills and techniques they use to see how I can incorporate them into my play and toolbox.

Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A:  I would major in Architecture.  If my plans in football do not work out, I will continue my education and look to work for an architecture company.

Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: My teammates would say that I am a team player that is a hard worker, tough, smart, and dedicated.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career so far?

A: Scoring my first touchdown as a freshman which was the first touchdown of the season for our team that helped sparked a comeback when my team was down.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A:  I would say biggest challenge is my small frame.  Some may look at me a small player, but I do not let that discourage me or my play, what lack in size I make up for with my heart and love for the game.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A:  I would compare myself to John Brown (WR – Buffalo Bills) because he is small, quick, elusive, and great route runner.

Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?

A:  I am a student athlete that take pride in my education as well as athletics.  In middle school I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.  I have recently been invited to join the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS).

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/” pay it forward” in your community?

A:  My younger brother plays AYF football and my father coached the team, this is the organization that played with for 7 years.  I often assist with the younger teams during practice.  I also still assist with the organizations fundraisers to assist with upcoming costs for the season.  I have also volunteered at L.E.E.N.C (Life-Empowerment, Encouragement, Networking, and Connecting) a local non-profit organization setting up and breaking down meeting rooms.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 High School National Scouting Combine and what are your goals for the combine?

A:  To prepare for this combine I have been working on agility drills, practicing my 40, catching balls, and running routes.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A:  It would be making it to the NFL.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?

A:  I like to play basketball.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A:  My dad because he is always encouraging me to take full advantage of every opportunity that comes my way.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A:  I look to draw in my spare time.
