Tell us about your college career and what the recruiting process was like. Why did you choose Hartwick College? My college career was amazing and it really helped shape me into the man I am today. Growing up I went to a small high school in upstate New York and was named first team All-State as a top 5 player in the state. I was undersized and my skills were not fine tuned enough to attend a d1a school, but I was lucky enough to be recruited by 2 d1aa schools to play corner. Unfortunately at the time my heart was on the offensive side of the ball so I chose to go to a division 3 school. Once I got to college and matured a little bit all I wanted to do was put my team in the best position to win games so I talked with my coaches and I was blessed enough to be allowed to be one of the few players in the country to play offense defense and special teams during the same season. I chose Hartwick college because they have an awesome education, their weight room is phenomenal, and they love to throw the ball deep.

What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far? My biggest accomplishment in my sports career so far would be owning the all time division 3 record for yards per reception and registering a 99 yard catch which is one of the few records that technically can never be broken.

What was your major and what are your plans if football didn’t work out? I graduated last May as a sociology major with a minor in criminal justice and I am currently a leasing agent 9-5, I work security at night, I paint apartment complexes on weekends, coach a community college football team, and train a youth baseball team twice a week.

What would your teammates say about you and your qualities? My teammates would say I am one of if not the hardest working athlete in the entire school. They would also tell you I’m willing to do anything to help a friend in need and I’m who you’d want to walk into war with.

Who is or has been the most influential person in your life? My mom is absolutely the most influential person in my life. She has taught me to embrace the struggle instead of crying about it. I dropped a wide open game winning touchdown pass my first game senior year on 3rd down with 2 seconds left in the game. I didn’t budge, didn’t cry, didn’t look at my hands, didn’t smack the ground, didn’t blame anyone, didn’t make an excuse, or even apologize. In my head there was still 2 seconds left and another down to score and that’s the type of resilience my mother has instilled into me.

Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community? I volunteer my time as a wide receiver coach at a community college in Syracuse and as a little league strength and conditioning coach.

How are you preparing for the 2019 National Scouting Combine? To prepare for this combine I am training at Moe Jackson’s Speed school and at Burns Athletics/ SouthSide fitness with Rasheid Burns

What would be your ultimate achievement? My ultimate achievement will be the day I can sleep peacefully knowing I did all I could do in this game with no regrets, no what ifs and without a single doubt in my mind.
