STANDARDIZED ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE TESTING • ATHLETIC INTELLIGENCE • OPPORTUNITY

Who we are

BUILT FROM THE FIELD. EVOLVING THROUGH DATA.

The National Scouting Combine combines more than a decade and a half of event operation with hundreds of years of combined collegiate and professional experience across its staff, advisors, coaches and evaluators.

The company

One standard for measuring athletic performance.

NSC was created to help athletes bridge the gap between ability and opportunity. The modern version expands that mission: capture trusted data, interpret it responsibly and make it useful to the people deciding who deserves the next look.

That means events still matter—but now they sit inside a broader intelligence system that can serve youth development, high school recruiting, college personnel and professional scouting.

Our core statement

“The National Scouting Combine transforms standardized athletic performance testing into actionable intelligence, helping personnel filter thousands of athletes and identify talent.”

The operating principles

Credibility has to begin before the algorithm.

Standardize first

A sophisticated model cannot repair inconsistent or unverified input data. Testing protocol is the foundation.

Explain the output

Grades, percentiles, fit and comparables should be interpretable by athletes and decision-makers.

Stay inside the evidence

Athletic data can improve evaluation without pretending to replace football film, medical, character or coaching judgment.

A brief timeline

From combine operation to athletic intelligence.

2010 — National Scouting Combine launches

Regional professional combine testing begins.

2012 — National invite-only format

Testing and an all-star showcase environment are combined.

2016 — Indianapolis era

NSC moves national operations into a football-centered evaluation market.

2020s — Algorithm + performance reports

Years of combine research evolve into structured scoring and report development.

2026–2027 — HPE + AIR + NSC Network

The model expands from event reporting toward a continuous athletic intelligence and personnel-discovery system.

Why it matters

The recruiting and scouting market needs a common athletic language.

The same athlete can be timed differently, measured differently and described differently depending on where the data comes from. NSC is building toward consistency across event, athlete and evaluator.

1

Standard. Many pathways.

NextGen → High School → College → Draft Eligible → Free Agent → Personnel Discovery.

The next phase

Make verified athletic data usable at scale.

Events collect the evidence. AIR explains it. HPE analyzes it. The NSC Network will help the right people find it.
