Q: Tell us about your college career and what the recruiting process was like. Why did you choose Minnesota state university, mankato?

A: My recruiting process was an interesting one to say the least. I got ripped off by a recruiter for $500. So, I became my own recruiter. I sent out almost 2000 emails to different universities and colleges.I was coming out of a junior college in the winter. I ended up with a bunch of options, but MNSU really gave me a great opportunity. They offered me basically a full ride between football and track, the coaching staff made me feel at home, it was a championship level program, and the head coach believed in me.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: I think one of my biggest accomplishments was to be offered scholarships for football and track at the same school and be able to do both at a very high level. Not many can say that they have done that.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at Minnesota State University, Mankato?

A: One thing that the Rbs coach really helped me with there was my film study. Its very hard to be great at football if you cannot learn from your mistakes…and you cannot improve and prepare adequately without good film study habits. The coaches at Minnesota state gave me that edge by helping me study my opponents and myself on a higher level.

Q: What was your major and what are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A: i majored in exercise science. My wife and i have a ministry so we would continue to grow that. And I’ve always planned on getting my own indoor sports complex and running several businesses within that including training business and a nutrition bar. I also have plans to write several books and to do motivational speaking.

Q: What would your current/past teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: They would talk about my extreme work ethic, my talent and my character. Coming out of junior college, i actually went around to all my coaches and teammates at the time and asked them what they thought of me, my work ethic, my talent, and  my character and i video taped their unscripted responses. What they said was awesome. The video is called “Who is caleb Stennis” on YouTube.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: Finding time to train to pursue my dream of playing football, while supporting my family. I work long days, sometimes as long as 12-13hr -15hr days so that my family can be provided for. You just have to suck it up and train anyway. You have to be ready At all times.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A: I wouldn’t say that I resemble too closely any one player or the other. All though I’ve drawn a great deal of comparisons to Adrian Peterson from ex-teammates at multiple places I’ve played over the course of my career for my aggressive and violent running style.

Q: What is your biggest strength that you bring to a professional team and why should pro scouts consider you?

A: I could tell you how fast and how strong i am. how versatile i am and how those things have always set me apart..but in my estimation, what really sets me apart is my intangibles…things you cannot teach..

I am a natural born leader. I command the respect of men with my work ethic and tenacity. Most do not have the desire to shoulder the load or stand under the weight of expectations. I thrive in them.  I have an insatiable desire to consistently do what it takes to become the best.

I eat criticsm. And i will always find a way to win. i have endured and persisted through a great deal.Things that would’ve broken most men before getting to the point in my career where i am now. More than most. My persistence is uncanny.I cannot be stopped. I have a commitment to excellence that must be observed. i am professional.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?

A: absolutely. I’m actually setting up several charity events throughout this year. Ive mentored men, women and children alike and am considered by many a spiritual father.  I’ve done volunteer work where i graduated high school, for the YMCA, and completed 3 internships training kids to pursue their athletic dreams.  I’ve also trained many for free privately in an effort to help them pursue their athletic dreams. My wife and i also have a small ministry where we minister to victims of severe trauma.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 National Scouting Combine and what are your goals?

A: im training like a mad man in the weight room and on the field. My goal is to be a top performer in 3 categories and walk out of there with more opportunities to further my football career.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: my ultimate achievement would be to make it to an active nfl roster and have a dominant career in the nfl.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football?

A: Spending time with my wife and daughter, ministry, and reading.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: The person who has influenced me the most in my life is my mom. She made me the man i am today.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A: most people don’t know that I’ve acted in many different plays throughout my life and I’m actually a talented singer and performer.
