Chevelle Clements – RB – Robert Morris University

Q: Tell us about your college (or pro) career and what the recruiting/scouting process was like. Why did you choose Robert Morris?

A: It was full of ups and downs. The recruiting process was very nice and simple. I chose Robert Morris because honestly, I wasn’t ready to be far away from home.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: My biggest accomplishment in my career so far would be developing my character. All the hard work and even the hardships made me a better man.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at (Enter school name)?

A: The thing I learned from the coaching staff at Robert Morris was that you can never settle for being just “good “.

Q: How was your career impacted due to the 2020 pandemic and what have you learned from the adversity?

A: My career was not impacted at all.

I would want my positive impact to be a God glorifying man who loves his family and also gave everything his all.

Q: What was your major and what are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A: Business Administration. My plans if football doesn’t work out is to start a clothing line or become a barber.

Q: What would your current/past teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: My teammates would say that I make the most of any opportunities I’m provided. They would also say I’m very humble and not much of a talker. I show up and do what’s need to be done and that’s that.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career at any level?

A: My most memorable play had to be in high school my senior year against our cross-town Rival. I scored a 54-yard touchdown after I heard some trash talk going on about me not going to play college in the future.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: My biggest challenge to me has been a lack of support from the right people. I manage it by continuing to work hard for myself and God.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A: I don’t compare myself to any pro athlete. Everyone’s story is different.

Q: What is your biggest strength that you bring to a professional team and why should pro scouts consider you?

A: My biggest strength I would bring to any professional team would be always playing with a chip on my shoulder. Every day I want to be better than I was the previous day.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back” or ”pay it forward” in your community?

A: At this current moment no I am not.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2021 National Scouting Combine and what are your goals?

A: I’ve been in the gym 6 days a week. I am determined to run under a 4.6 40yd dash. And a 4.1 agility. My goal is to lose 6 more pounds and I think I’ll make it happen.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: My ultimate achievement would be getting a call or text from a pro team after I know I’ve given the combine everything I had.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football?

A: I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy fashion and learning about different businesses. Finally, I enjoy watching good drama series.

Q: If you could make a positive impact on all of society what would it be and why?

A: I would want my positive impact to be a God glorifying man who loves his family and also gave everything his all.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My mother has been the most influential person in my life. She raised 3 kids on her own and had to work 2-3 jobs at a time constantly and never complained about it. The struggle shows true character, and that woman is the strongest person I know. Hopefully soon I can have the opportunity to spoil her the way she deserves.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A: My dad and I share the same name and same birthday.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: NFL player, Barber, Clothing Brand owner
