What gives you an advantage over other athletes at kicker?
My dedication and training give me the biggest advantage over others at my position. I’m willing to stake my own safety, comfort, and existence to achieve my goal. Also, I train like an athlete, because I am one. I can run, jump, throw, and catch as well as kick. I’m ready for anything that can happen on the football field. This training prevents injury, and provides a consistent incline in my overall performace.
What does being a student of the game mean to you?
Being a student of the game means to be constantly learning on how to improve, and adding new tricks to your bag. There is something you can learn from most anyone. Whether that’s the drop kick, onside kicks, or the Justin Tucker hop step. Being a student to the game means you will never stop learning, because the game never stops changing.
How has being a kicker reflect itself in your personal life?
Being a kicker has taught me to remain calm at all times. It has taught me that the only pressure you feel is the pressure you apply to yourself. It has also taught me that smooth and precise technical skill will overcome brute force and strength nine times out of ten.
Why did you choose the National Scouting Combine?
I chose the National Scouting Combine of course to perform in front of the scouts and coaches that will attend, but also to learn more about myself and the sport of football, as well as surround myself with like minded people who have similar goals.
What do you hope to show people at the combine?
I plan to showcase consistency, the best trait an athlete can have.
If you could make a positive impact on all of society, what would it be and why?
Given the chance to make a positive impact on all of society, I would rid the world of hunger/provide drinkable water across the world. I think everyone should have food and drinkable water accessible to them at all times.
If you had the chance to play another sport professionally, what sport would you choose?
If I had the chance to play another sport professionally, I would choose baseball. Baseball was my first love in the sports world, and I still play softball when I can.
