Q: How did you get started playing football?
I started playing football in highschool when one of the coaches told me that with my size I could possibly get a scholarship and so I started playing and found my love for the game immediately.
Q: What separates you from all the other athletes trying to become a professional?
I feel that with how fresh I am to the game, that I still have a lot of years left and I’m far from my potential.
Q: Tell us about your college choice, career and what the recruiting process was like.
I choose ECU because It was my best offer and it was close to home.
Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?
Being a 3 year starter in a college football program is a blessing in itself.
Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?
I’ve learned that you really can accomplish anything with great effort.
Q: What is/was your biggest challenge and how do/did you manage it?
My biggest challenge has been that gaining weight and I managed it just with focus and dedication on diet everyday.
Q: What is your biggest strength or X factor that you bring to a professional team?
I am a natural leader and a problem solver that thinks fast in the moment.
Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?
My family as a whole has always kept me going when it gets tough.
Q: What are your goals with football? If football does not work out, then what?
My main goals with football are to continue to play because of the love I have for it and to provide for my family.
Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations?
I have been working out with a trainer everyday and focusing on my weaknesses.
Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?
To make it to the NFL and make it where my parents don’t have to work the rest of their life’s.
Q: If you have to compare yourself to a current pro player, who would it be and why?
I strive to be like Joe Thomas because of how skilled he is and how healthy he is.
