What gives you an advantage over other athletes at defensive end?

The advantage that I have over other players are the length and the physical abilities that I have. I have a high motor and great football IQ that allows me to excel and do what I need to.

How would you describe your work ethic?

I believe that I have a great work ethic. I look forward to putting my all into what I do and always attempt to get better and to continue to improve. I work hard, train hard and study hard.

What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?

One of my favorite quotes from the coaching staff is, “You have to be comfortable being uncomfortable.”  I’ve learned that there will be many obstacles on and off the field and that I will need to tackle to the best of my ability.

What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

Being a 5 year starter and a 3 time captain have been some of my biggest accomplishments in my sports career. Also, being invited to 4 separate events to showcase by abilities is something that I am very proud of.

Why did you choose the National Scouting Combine?

I felt like the National Scouting Combine would be a great opportunity to compete against some of the best athletes around the world and show what I am capable of.

What do you hope to show people at the combine?

I hope to showcase all of my athletic abilities. I am a great pass rusher with great technique and hands, run stopper and for being my size, I can drop in to pass coverage well. I also play inside the box as a true linebacker.

What was your Major?

I majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business.

Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

My parents have been the most influential people in my life. They have made sacrifices to keep me involved in sports, year round, since I was 4 years old, to ensure that I stayed on the right path.

If you could make a positive impact on all of society what would it be and why?

If I could make a positive impact on all of society, I would try to be a positive role model for young students by going into school systems and speak about how important education is.

Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back” or ”pay it forward” in your community?

When I am home from school, I enjoy going back to my elementary/middle school, where my nine-year-old sister currently attends, and I help out at field day and also chaperoning field trips. I also assisted my father this year in purchasing and delivering toys for needy families in the Baltimore area.
