For most people, sports and history live in separate worlds.

For National Scouting Combine Chief Marketing Officer Jesse Heninger, the connection comes naturally.

Outside of his role helping shape the National Scouting Combine Foundation brand and national growth strategy, Heninger also serves as Director of Marketing and Co-Producer for 250Ride.org and the Delaware Italian American Foundation’s America 250 initiative — a large-scale public history effort designed to commemorate the nation’s 250th birthday through immersive educational experiences.

The National Scouting Combine is proud to recognize Heninger’s involvement in a project that reflects many of the same values found within sports: storytelling, community engagement, leadership, and creating experiences that bring people together.

Known for helping expand the National Scouting Combine’s reach nationally, Heninger’s background spans sports marketing, live events, sponsorship development, media strategy, and brand building. Those same disciplines are now helping support one of Delaware’s most visible commemorative initiatives ahead of America’s Semiquincentennial.

On June 12–13, 2026, 250Ride.org will present a two-day reenactment of Caesar Rodney’s historic ride from Dover to Philadelphia — the journey that helped secure Delaware’s vote for independence.

The initiative includes educational programming, historical interpretation, community engagement opportunities, and the “Unheard Voices of the Revolution” series designed to broaden public understanding of America’s founding era.

Heninger says his involvement has reinforced how similar the worlds of sports and live storytelling can be.

“At their best, both sports and history create moments that people remember and share. My role with 250Ride.org has been about helping package history in a way that feels accessible, engaging, and meaningful for modern audiences.”

He continued:

“I’m incredibly thankful to the Delaware Italian American Foundation and the entire 250Ride.org team for trusting me with such an important project. To be able to contribute to something tied to America’s 250th anniversary is an opportunity I don’t take lightly.”

National Scouting Combine Foundation Founder and CEO Jimmy Kibble praised Heninger’s continued leadership outside the organization.

“Jesse has always brought energy, creativity, and strategic thinking to everything he works on. While this project sits outside of the National Scouting Combine’s day-to-day operations, we’re proud to see one of our leaders helping contribute to an initiative with educational and historical significance during such an important moment in our nation’s history.”

As preparations continue toward June’s events, Heninger remains active across both organizations — helping grow the National Scouting Combine brand while supporting public engagement efforts around one of Delaware’s most ambitious America 250 initiatives.
