NextGen HS Senior Showcase Set for January 6 in Naples

NAPLES, Fla. —  Collier County’s top high school football seniors will have one more opportunity to represent their schools, compete alongside other local standouts and showcase their abilities when the NextGen HS Senior Showcase takes the field on Wednesday, January 6, 2027, in Naples.

The game will kick off at 7 p.m. at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex Stadium and will feature senior football players representing high schools throughout Collier County.

Admission will be $5 at the door.

Unlike the NextGen Combine taking place earlier in the week, the January 6 event is a football game and senior showcase, giving selected athletes an opportunity to compete in front of family, friends, coaches and members of the football community before concluding their high school careers.

Collier County Seniors

The NextGen HS Senior Showcase is designed specifically for current high school seniors from Collier County schools. Athletes participating in the game will be selected and invited to represent their respective schools as part of the showcase.

Eligible athletes must be current seniors at participating Collier County high schools and meet the event’s selection requirements.

Additional player information, selection details, and event updates will be available through the National Scouting Combine and NextGen.

A Full Week of Football in Naples

The Senior Showcase will be part of a larger week of football events hosted by the National Scouting Combine and NextGen at Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

The week begins January 2, with events spanning the high school, collegiate and professional levels.

On Sunday, January 3, NextGen will conduct its high school athletic testing combine. That event is separate from the January 6 Senior Showcase and will focus on standardized athletic testing, including speed, agility and explosive-performance measurements. This combine will be open to all athletes, males and females, from all sports at middle school and high school levels.

The National Scouting Combine will then welcome draft-eligible college football players to Naples for professional-level testing, evaluation, practices, and All-Star activities.

High school Senior Showcase participants will take part in practices and preparation leading into Wednesday night’s game. They will be coached by local Collier County coaches and professional football coaches who are in attendance for the 2027 National Scouting Combine Collegiate All-Star event.

The following evening, the attention will shift back to the collegiate level for the National Scouting Combine’s College All-Star event, continuing a week that brings multiple levels of football together at one venue.

“We wanted to create something special for the seniors here in Collier County,” said Jimmy Kibble, Founder of the National Scouting Combine. “These athletes have spent years representing their schools and communities. This gives them another opportunity to put on the uniform, compete with other outstanding local players and finish their high school careers on a memorable stage.”

NextGen Comes to Southwest Florida

NextGen was developed by the National Scouting Combine to bring the organization’s experience in standardized athletic evaluation, athlete development and football education to younger athletes.

The January events in Naples provide an opportunity to connect several stages of the football journey in one location — from high school athletes beginning the recruiting process to college players preparing for professional opportunities.

For the January 6 Senior Showcase, however, the emphasis will be simple:

Recognize Collier County’s seniors and give them one more opportunity to play.
