NAPLES, Fla. — October 2026 — The National Scouting Combine (NSC) is proud to announce the return of the Collegiate Officiating Consortium (COC) for the 2027 National Scouting Combine, taking place January 4–7 at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples, Florida.
Building on a longstanding partnership, the COC will once again provide experienced officials and mentors throughout National Scouting Combine Week, while expanding its involvement to include two showcase games featuring high school and college football talent.
For 2027, COC officials will officiate both the NextGen High School Showcase Game on Wednesday, January 6, and the National Scouting Combine College All-Star Showcase Game on Thursday, January 7. Both games will take place under the lights at FC Naples Stadium, located within the Paradise Coast Sports Complex.
The NextGen High School Showcase will feature selected high school seniors from Collier County, providing local athletes with an opportunity to compete in an organized All-Star environment. The following evening, the nationally recognized College All-Star Showcase will bring together NFL Draft-eligible athletes from across the country following a week of verified combine testing, positional drills, and padded practices.
The COC, working in collaboration with the Big Ten Conference, provides officials and mentors who help maintain the professionalism, consistency, and integrity of competition. Throughout the week, participating officials will gain valuable on-field experience during practices, individual drills, and competitive team sessions before transitioning into live-game environments.
The partnership also serves as an important developmental opportunity for officials. Through hands-on instruction, live-game experience, and feedback from experienced evaluators, participating officials can continue refining their skills while preparing for future opportunities at higher levels of competition.
“Having the Collegiate Officiating Consortium return year after year speaks volumes about the relationship we’ve built and the opportunities we’re creating together,” said Jimmy Kibble, CEO and Founder of the National Scouting Combine. “Expanding their involvement to include our NextGen High School Showcase is another important step forward. We’re bringing the same level of professionalism and attention to detail to our high school athletes that our college prospects experience, while giving officials additional opportunities to develop and showcase their abilities. It’s a partnership that benefits everyone involved.”
Beyond the field, the COC’s involvement provides opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and networking with experienced officials and leaders throughout the football community.
The continued collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creating meaningful developmental opportunities for athletes and officials alike.
With two showcase games scheduled on consecutive evenings, the 2027 National Scouting Combine will provide a unique platform for athletes at different stages of their football careers while supporting the continued development of the next generation of collegiate officials.
