Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.

A: In my freshman year I was one of the only players to be pulled up to dress and play varsity, I played in some important playoffs games and we went to the region championship. My sophomore year I started linebacker and we won the region championship. My junior season I earned the accomplishment of 1st team all district and 2nd team all region. The recruiting process has changed for me over my years in high school because I have had different coaches. When we hired coach Austin Pickett recruiting picked up a lot and I learned more and more about contacting coaches and he has been a great help.

Q: When did you receive your first offer and what school was it from? How many offers have you received thus far?

A: I received my first offer in June of 2020 from Hampden-Sydney College. This is my only offer so far.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: I would consider my biggest accomplishment so far in my sports career is  to earn an all region accolade in two sports, football and lacrosse.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at your school?

A: The most important thing I’ve learned from my coaching staff is that you aren’t going to become great overnight, it is a process that you need to embrace for it to happen.

Q: What have you learned during this unique time in 2020? What did you focus on or accomplish during Quarantine?

A: Over these strange times of 2020 I learned how much I can accomplish if I really put the effort in. During quarantine I focused on getting into the best shape I’ve ever been in and I would say that I accomplished that goal.

Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A: If I am able to play football in college I would major in kinesiology or some type of exercise science. I want to be a personal trainer one day. If football doesn’t work out I imagine I will pursue a career in fitness.

Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: my current teammates would say I am a good leader and that am able to keep them pushing when they are close to giving up.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career so far?

A: My junior year against Monticello We were down 6-3 at halftime. After the break we start out on defense and on that drives I get an interception and return it for 6. We go on to in that game 30-6

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: My biggest challenge in football would be my head coach James Ford being diagnosed with cancer a couple of weeks before week one. It was something that hurt all of us over coming this challenge and being motivated for the season still taught me a lot about myself.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A: I would compare myself to the colts’ Darius Leonard because he is a very strong player inside the box.

Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?

A: My biggest strength is my on field knowledge along with my strength. Colleges should consider me because this knowledge and strength put together with the effort I give every play is a good combination.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?

A: I am all about giving back to kids so when ever I hear of a kids camp or sports camp for kids I love to be there.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 High School National Scouting Combine and what are your goals for the combine?

A: I am conditioning every day for the combine. I want to prove to coaches and other players that I am one of the best out there.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: receiving a division one offer and going on to play division one football.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?

A: I play lacrosse and I really enjoy skiing when the weather is right.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My parents have been the most influential people in my life. Both of them have given all that they can to not only me but my 4 other siblings and the selflessness that they have in them is something I would like to have all the time and when I’m a parent.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A: People would find it unique that I really enjoy cooking. Whether it be for meal prep or dinner for my family I just really enjoy it.
