Jabari Hargrove | North Carolina Wesleyan | CB

Q: Tell us about your sports career and what the recruiting/scouting process was like?

A:  My sports career was successful. When I think I about it , I can say it was competitive.  I received an academic scholarship, the scouting process was different they were time skill drills. I met new people which were my teammates.

Q: Did you play in college and if so, who did you play for? What was your experience like?

A:  I played for North Carolina Wesleyan College. It went well.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: My biggest accomplishment was to play college football.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from your coach(es)

A:  I learn to always pay attention and to think smart.

Q: What would your current/past teammates say about you and your qualities?

A:  I think they could say I never over do it. I’m a quick learner and I could speak at the right time.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career at any level?

A:  The most memorable play. I made was in little league, I started stripping the ball from other players when we was losing and we won that game and ever since I kept that as a skill.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A:  My biggest challenge was getting up and going to school. I drove 45 minutes to school and practice every day. Just to manage it I prepared myself  2 hours early.

Q: Who was the best player you played against anytime during your career?

A:  I played against the NBA star Mr.Harrel in high school. The first game he won and in the 2nd round of the state playoffs for the second time we had won.

Q: If you could compare yourself to any pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A:  I think I can say Mr.Revis. I learned techniques from Mr. Revis at playing cornerback. I had to become a cornerback.

Q: What is your biggest strength that you bring to a professional team and why should pro scouts consider you?

A: I can bring a dedication attitude. I’m motivated, When I’m down I believe to work hard. I can accept but I do not like to lose.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back” or ”pay it forward” in your community?

A:  No, when asked I can leave an in-store donation for St. Jude Hospital.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football?

A:  When playing football I enjoy reading, doing school work, joy riding and I like to draw.

Q: If you could make a positive impact on all of society what would it be and why?

A:  I think I would speak/give advice. Some people need a person to encourage.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A:  I can say myself. (Parents)

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A:  I know how build a house. Building a house, it’s nothing like showing a person how to do it.

Q: If you had the opportunity to play another sport professionally, what sport would you choose?
