Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.
A: : My high school career consisted of a run heavy offense last year, I am currently at a school where I could potentially be targeted more and contribute to the team. The recruiting process has been fine overall, I am verbally committed to ODU.
Q: When did you receive your first offer and what school was it from? How many offers have you received thus far?
A: My first offer was from Delaware State University, in 2019, and I currently have 5 offers total to Division-1 schools consisting of Old Dominion University, Delaware State, Fordham University, Army and the Navy.
Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?
A: The biggest accomplishment in my sports career would be winning the State 3A Championship in Football and in track and field for 4x200meter relay.
Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at your school?
A: One of the things that I learned from the coaching staff while playing at my high school is“ You get what you put into it, you have to buy in”!
Q: What have you learned during this unique time in 2020? What did you focus on or accomplish during Quarantine?
A:I learned that “Life” happens and it can take things away from you very fast, and that you have to have a backup plan. I focused on football and getting better at drills, conditioning and just prep for the upcoming season.
Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?
A: I would like to become a Nuclear Engineer and if things change and football does not work out, I still plan to focus on my career of becoming a Nuclear Engineer.
Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?
A: My teammates would say that I work hard during practice, that I am a leader and cool to be around.
Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career so far?
A: I would say the catch I received from my brother who was QB in 2018 during a game where the rain was pouring down.
Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?
A: I would say my biggest challenge would have to be learning my body and adjusting to my frame.
Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?
A: I have been told that I am comparable to Calvin Johnson because of his size and speed.
Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?
A: My biggest strength is…my knowledge of the game, frame and my athletic ability. College coaches should consider me for my ability, determination, drive to win and my ambition for the game.
Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?
A: I assisted in building homes with Habitat for Humanity, and I also participated in “Kids and Pro’s camp, as well as the Little Fleet Meet
Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 High School National Scouting Combine and what are your goals for the combine?
A: I have prepared and worked out daily in hopes of a football season and for this combine. I focused on improvement of my 4o yd time, my goals are to compete and improve all areas across the board.
Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?
A: The ultimate achievement for me, would be being inducted into the Hall of Fame!
Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?
A: I enjoy spending time with family and yes I play other sports. I run indoor and outdoor track, my events are hurdles and sprints
Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?
A: My brother is the most influential person in my life he is a college athlete and his work ethic is second to none.
Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?
A: I believe something unique about me that people would find interesting is that I played Lacrosse for 4 years while playing football and running track when I was younger, my position was Midfielder, and Attack.
