Name: Hansley Fleurejus
School: Antelope Valley College/ Adams State University
Q: How did you get started playing football?  It all started playing throw back football before school started in elementary and middle school.
Q: What separates you from all the other athletes trying to become a professional? What separates me is my height of course lol, but sometimes I forget that I am about 5’8 and I go out and play as if I am 6’2, it’s football and I just love to go out and compete.
Q: Tell us about your college choice, career and what the recruiting process was like.My college choice was based on going with a few guys I grew up with and played football together since we were young, we decided to go to college together and it was cool being out in another state with people you knew your whole life and experiencing new things together.
Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far? Personally I’d say playing my senior year of high school on a torn ACL and out running guys like it was nothing.
Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff? One thing I learned is no matter if things do not go your way never stop putting in the work
Q: What is/was your biggest challenge and how do/did you manage it? My biggest challenge was my senior yr of high school on a torn ACL and outrunning defenders, I took it like a champ. I felt my team needed me that year and we reached the district title game, but we came up short. That experience no one can take from me and it made me become tough on the inside and that to never really let people put their limitations on you.
Q: What is your biggest strength or X factor that you bring to a professional team? I’d like to say my versatility and that I have a unique skill-set for the position, excellent change-of-direction skills and lateral explosion, sticking my foot into the ground with burst to cut. I am a crafty route-runner with good footwork and sharp in-and-out of my breaks, I show reliable hands with very good hand-eye coordination and I consistently make tough catches in traffic. After the catch am extremely shifty and elusive making it difficult for defenders to square up on. I excel at working out of the slot position with fearless attitude going across the middle I am also a tough blocker on the perimeter showing determination
Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?  I’d have to say my little sister, she has gone through so much in life and not many people would’ve been able to handle it, she overcame so much and just kept fighting and I look up to her for that. It shows me that you just got to keep going in life even when it’s difficult that’s when you find yourself and just come out blossoming.
Q: What are your goals with football? If football does not work out, then what?
My goal with football is to reach a professional platform and have the game help me make a living for myself. If it does not work out then who knows only time will tell.
Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations? Busting my butt almost everyday
Q: What would be your ultimate achievement? Making it professional playing a game that I love while making a living.
Q: If you have to compare yourself to a current pro player, who would it be and why? If I had too compare I’d say probably Taylor Gabriel of the Atlanta Falcons.
