School: University of West Florida

Q: How did you get started playing football?

I started playing football as a young kid around my Neighborhood. I was originally a Basketball Player growing up and didn’t play organized football until 7th grade.

Q: What separates you from all the other athletes trying to become a professional?

I feel that my dedication to the game is what separates me from other athletes trying to become a professional. I’ve sacrificed a lot to this great game and I just feel like my level of dedication is different from others trying to become a professional.

Q: Tell us about your college choice, career and what the recruiting process was like.

I chose to attend the University of South Florida out of high school, where I spent four years of my life at. I chose to go to South Florida because I liked the coaching staff and it wasn’t to far way from my hometown Pensacola Florida. After graduating from South Florida, I had another year of edibility and decide to transfer to the University of West Florida. It was an easy transition for me because University of West Florida was in my Hometown, so I was very familiar with the campus.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

My biggest accomplishment in my sports career so far would be Playing in the Division 2 National Championship game. I say this moment because my football team was only a two-year program, so it wasn’t expected for us to even make the playoffs. I played a very big part in the success of our season and it meant even more because I was a hometown Kid leading his hometown college to a national championship.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?

The most important thing I learned from my coaching staff in college was how to be a “Man”. That’s all my coaches preached and showed us as a team, being stand up men every day. Football will end one day, and you will have a family to take care of, so being a man is important.

Q: What is/was your biggest challenge and how do/did you manage it?

My biggest challenge throughout my college career was overcoming all the obstacles placed in front of me. I suffered numerous of injuries while I attend South Florida, which kept me from playing 2 years in a row. I was mentally weak due to these injuries and a lot of times didn’t believe I could get back to the talented player I always knew I could be. At a point in life I didn’t have any love for the game, but through pray and believing god had wonderful things for my career I overcame those obstacles.

Q: What is your biggest strength or X factor that you bring to a professional team?

My biggest strength that I will bring to a professional team is leadership. I am a natural born leader, it just one of those traits I was born with. I know what it takes to win, and I know how to get a team to believe they can win, no matter the circumstance.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

Most influence person in my life would be my grandfather. The way he carries himself and handles his business has had a major influence on how I try to carry myself. I’ve seen him make all the right decision, so it allows me to model myself after a great man.

Q: What are your goals with football?

My goals with football is to change lives. I know my platform with football can change a lot of people’s lives around the world. That’s what life is all about using your high platform to help someone who is inspiring to get where you are. If football doesn’t work Ill become a coach and try to do everything in my power to make sure other kids dream come true.

Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations?

I trained twice a day everyday for a month straight. Just really focused on making my body strong as it could possibly be. A lot of speed and agility work, working on my balance and also running mechanics.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

My Ultimate achievement would be being drafted by any NFL team. Its something I dreamed of all my life and for it to become true would be a blessing.

Q:If you have to compare yourself to a current pro player, who would it be and why?

If I could compare myself to a current pro player it would be Marucs Peters. We are both long rangy cornerbacks with great ball skills.
