Name: Montero DuBose
School: Bethel College

Q: How did you get started playing football?

I started playing football in the 6th grade. Football always looked fun so I wanted to try it out.

Q: What separates you from all the other athletes trying to become a professional?

My work ethic, passion and my drive. I am also very coachable

Q: Tell us about your college choice, career and what the recruiting process was like. I chose to go to College of The Desert in Palm Springs, CA, right out of high school. I then transferred to Mt.San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. Finally, I received a scholarship to play football and run track at Bethel College in Newton, Kansas. The recruiting process was tough in the beginning but I eventually got Blessed with a scholarship.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

My biggest accomplishment in my sports career so far has to be making it this far with football and inspiring others on the way.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?

To take it week by week. Do not look too far or too far behind. Focus on the goal of the week.

Q: What is/was your biggest challenge and how do/did you manage it?

My biggest challenge was trying to get the players on the team to buy in to the program. A lot of players had disagreements with the coaches and their decisions but I just kept telling them to trust the process. I would just try to show them we can be successful by leadership and by leading by example.

Q: What is your biggest strength or X factor that you bring to a professional team?

My ability to be consistent. Consistently getting open and consistently catching the ball.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life? My mother by far. She raised 3 boys on her own and she never let the fact that she was by herself defeat her. She is so strong.

Q: What are your goals with football? If football does not work out, then what?

If football does not work out then some way I want to teach the younger generations what I know about the game.

Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations?

I prepared by busting my tail. I would wake up for 6ams with the track team even though I am not running this year and we would get some work in. My expectations for this combine is for me to put up great numbers and showcase my skills and talents.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

My ultimate achievement would to be play professional football and help the team win a championship.

Q: If you have to compare yourself to a current pro player, who would it be and why?

i would compare myself to Antonio Brown because we are both undersized receivers but we play much bigger than what we are.
