Name: Prince Block
School: Eastside HighSchool (Graduated)

Q: How did you get started playing football?

A: One day, I was about five or six years old sitting on my grandmother’s lap watching her favorite team (NY Giants) play and I told her I was gonna get her a house playing football that we wouldn’t have to struggle any more.

Q: What separates you from all the other athletes trying to become a professional?

A: What separates me from the others is the fact I had to work for all the abilities I have now. Since I was young until now, I have played every position on the field.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: One of my biggest accomplishments was scoring in triple coverage in the 2017 semi pro season, and it made me feel good knowing that I was youngest player in the league.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?

A: The most important thing I learned from my coaching stuff was learning how to maintain my anger and transferring it on to the field.

Q: What is/was your biggest challenge and how do/did you manage it?

A: In “life” the biggest challenge was being homeless 2017 winter season trying to find somewhere to live and sleep. The beginning of 2018 year, My cousin Altamir, and My brother, David let me move in their apartment. For Football my biggest challenge was when I was in High School, we were winning by at least 7 points and our offense couldn’t moved the ball due to linemen not blocking. I noticed when we went “trips right” they would leave me on a one on one, and shift they defense to the strength. I told the coach, and three plays later I scored on a 71 yard slant to seal the win.

Q: What is your biggest strength or X factor that you bring to a professional team?

What I can bring to a professional team is leadership, the ability to keep emotions leveled. All Thanks to my coaches helping me with my emotions. My actions on the field gives my teammates a big boost in their confidence and they style of play.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A:The most influential person in my life was and still is, my brother Sedric. This is because, we share the same love and that’s football. (Laughing), he swear I’m his son he tells me he past on his talents to me, but he always pushes me and when he was living out here in Paterson we always play football. He always wanted my skills sharp.

Q: What are your goals with football?

A: If football does not work out, then what? My goals with football is to buy my grandmother the house I told her I was going to get her when I was 6. Also to do for my city, hopefully get in contact with my bro Fetty Wap and do something for our city. If football does not work I will continue with rapping. I’m in a rap group called IslandBoys with two of my cousins and my brother.

Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations?

A: I prepared for the National Scouting Combine by training with various of players I know, Qbs, And DBs. My expectations for the National Scouting Combine are High. Not only me but my coaches believe I have what it take to play on the next level.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: My ultimate achievement is to show that inter city kids and kids with a rough life can be successful if you put your mind to what ever it is that you want to do. Leave negativity at the door.

Q: If you have to compare yourself to a current pro player, who would it be and why?

A: I don’t think I can compare myself to any current pro player, because to be honest in my eyes I’m a different ball player then the players in the pros.
