Name: Tyler Ambush
School: Bethany College

Q: How did you get started playing football?

My mom signed me up for south Germantown football youth program and I did not want to play but a coach there kept me under his wing and showed me the importance of playing football and ever since then I’ve loved football and the process that comes with it.

Q: What separates you from all the other athletes trying to become a professional?

My hard work and commitment that I have to do the little things and improve my game, my mindset is “Trust The Process” and ever since then I have become more of a better athlete because of my saying that I want to better myself at the sport that I love.

Q: Tell us about your college choice, career and what the recruiting process was like.

My college choice was hard because Bethany is in WV and it’s 4 hours away from home. But I knew I was going to school for my education and to play football. So distances didn’t matter to me. My career at Bethany was amazing if I could do it all over again I would. I was able to get into the Bethany college football record books and the recruiting process was good, they came up with great interest in wanting me to play for their program.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

Being invited to all-star games and getting invited into the NFL regional combine.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?

That you should never give up on your dreams. If you come to work every day with a positive mindset and a commitment mindset that you want to get better every day you will succeed.

Q: What is your biggest strength or X factor that you bring to a professional team?

My quickness and great separation in my route running and my ability to attack the football when it’s in the air,

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

My Mother, my Mother pushes me every day to become the best person I can be. she tells me if you want to succeed at something you love, go get it. Don’t let anyone stand in your way of your goals of reaching the NFL.

Q: What are your goals with football? If football does not work out, then what?

I want to be able to play football in the NFL and show my ability to perform at the highest professional level. If football doesn’t work out, I want to be a head football coach at my old high school and also if that doesn’t work become a personal trainer for a college.

Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations?

I prepared myself by setting up a schedule for when I will be lifting and going outside to test my drills for the National Scouting Combine. I want to perform at the best of my ability. I want to leave it all out there on the field and show scouts and coaches that I have what it takes to take my skills to the professional level.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

Being able to keep playing football either if it’s in the NFL, CFL,AFL,GFL and show that my hard work was being noticed.

Q: If you have to compare yourself to a current pro player, who would it be and why?

Antonio Brown And Adam Thielen, the reason I choose these players is because Antonio brown has great hands and his ability to separate from defenders and the great footwork that he has to beat defenders of the line and Adam thielen is a great WR who knows how run great routes and attack the field when it’s in the air. I always study these two football players in order to help me improve my game and show that I have what it takes to become a NFL Wide Receiver.
