Name: Yusuf Muhammad
School: Albany State University

Q: How did you get started playing football?

I just started playing in the backyard when I was 8 years old and just loved it ever since.

Q: What separates you from all the other athletes trying to become a professional?

My dedication to the game. I sacrificed a lot during college to make sure I was the best player I could, making sure I get the proper amount of rest and all.

Q: Tell us about your college choice, career and what the recruiting process was like.

I walked on at Albany State so I was not recruited. I still ended up being a 4 year starter at fullback. My college career was pretty good. But one thing I will regret is never being able to win a conference and national championship because that is the ultimate goal.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

Being the lead blocker for 2 time consecutive offensive player of the year my freshman and sophomore year of college Jarvis Small.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?

Just how to be a better man and being a accountable.

Q: What is/was your biggest challenge and how do/did you manage it?

Osband Thompson. I always had solid games against him but it was always a tough battle.

Q: What is your biggest strength or X factor that you bring to a professional team?

True physicality to the game with how I block. Weather it is lead Iso, kick out blocks, getting to the third level I am physical every time I make contact on the football field.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

My mom Stephanie Muhammad the sacrifices and everything she has done and been through is the main reason I am here today.

Q: What are your goals with football? If football does not work out, then what?

To become a football coach.

Q: How did you prepare for the National Scouting Combine and what are your expectations?

Training with Mark Liles at lifetime fitness in Cairo, Ga

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

Having a successful and long NFL career.

Q: If you have to compare yourself to a current pro player, who would it be and why?

James Devlin fullback for the patriots. He is tough hard nose old school fullback used mainly for blocking in the run game. He is also smart football player who really understands the offense because you will see the patriots line him up out wide, in a h-back position and all. I am smart and physical player who do all those things as well.
