How’d you end up at your current school? What was the recruiting process like?
A: High school recruiting was very slow for me, but I went to a camp here at Winston-Salem State and I received my offer on spot I never looked back.
What gives you an advantage over other athletes at your position?
A: My advantage over other athletes at my position is speed, being able to bend, and knock hands down.
What does being a student of a game mean to you?
A: Being a student of a game means to me that you are constantly looking for ways to improve your game whether that is watching film, working on your craft, or studying your opponents.Â
How does being a Defensive Linemen) reflect itself in your personal life?
A: Being a defensive lineman has reflected in my personal life because of a strong work ethic, relentless determination, my focus on mu physical fitness along with my competitive spirt I take on challenges head on.
How would you describe your work ethic?
A: I would describe my work ethic as always wanting to get better I am really dedicated to my craft. I am reliable, highly motivated, detail oriented and most importantly adaptable,
What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?
A: One of the most important things IÂ’ve learned from the coaching staff would be to never get complacent. Coach Makk used to tell us never be satisfied with just. I think that is the most important thing I’’ve learned.
What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?
A: I would consider my biggest accomplishment would be being voted by my teammates most improved player in 2023. In 2022 I tore my meniscus, and I was out for the entire spring in 2023 I had 15.5 tackles for loss and was top 5 in all HBCU football for that category.
How did you hear about the National Scouting Combine?
A: I was invited through Instagram
Why did you choose the National Scouting Combine?
A: because it is another opportunity for me to put on a helmet and to show scouts what I can do for there team.
What do you hope to show people at the combine?
A: That I’m a playmaker and IÂ’m someone that you want on your team.
What was your Major?
A: I majored in sports management with a concentration in broadcasting and journalism.
If you could make a positive impact on all of society, what would it be and why?
A: I would build schools in places with limited education access. This way the kids and young adults have a chance to do something greater with their life with education.
What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?
A: I am an only child. Why this is unique people assume only children get whatever they want that is not the case with me. You would think I had many siblings my parents never showered me or spoiled me I worked for everything.
If you had the opportunity to play another sport professionally, what sport would you choose?
A: I would choose basketball
Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back” or “pay it forward” in your community?
A: Yes I am involved in mentoring kids, for several summer positions while In college I was in charge of the sports section to help kids understand the fundamentals to all sports. I especially enjoyed the community of kids with disabilities, that was very special to me because of the feedback I received from their parents.
