1st Team All-Conference RB

How’d you end up at your current school? What was the recruiting process like?

I transferred to Baker from Northern Arizona University after a coaching change. My uncle played at Baker back in the day and one of his teammates was a current coach, so it was a great opportunity for me to play at his alma mater and be successful.

What gives you an advantage over other athletes at your position?
The advantage I have over other athletes at my position is my versatility and ability to run out of multiple schemes, as well as line up as a WR and be just as affective in the gameplan.

What does being a student of a game mean to you?

Being a student of the game to me means not only understanding my job, but what the offensive line and receivers are doing, as well as what the defense is doing to counter us.

How does being a RB reflect itself in your personal life?

Being a RB reflects itself in my personal life by the adversity I face playing the position. Things do not always go how you want, people miss blocks, you miss a hole, etc. That is life. It is all about how you respond.

How would you describe your work ethic?

I would describe my work ethic as being the hardest worker in the room. First one there, last one to leave and always striving to get 1% better every single day.

What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff?

One of the most important things I learned from my coaching staff was pre-snap reads of coverages and alignments of defenders and fronts. Another important thing I learned is “how you do anything, is how you do everything.”

What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

I would say my biggest accomplishments in my sports career so far would be starting as a walk on at Northern Arizona and turning that into contributing significantly at running back, as well as special teams. Two more accomplishments would be being a conference champion, as well as a 1st team all conference running back.

How did you hear about the National Scouting Combine?

Jay Wilson

Why did you choose the National Scouting Combine?

I chose the national scouting combine because of the exposure I will be able to get from the event as well as compete against the top athletes.

What do you hope to show people at the combine?

I hope to show people that I am an elite athlete throughout the testing process, as well as a great competitor and talent on the field and would make any team better that I am apart of.

What was your Major?

Master of Business Admin

If you could make a positive impact on all of society what would it be and why?

If I could make a positive impact on all of society it would be to express how giving my life to Christ is the best decision I have made and how he can change each one of our lives for the better. We all need Him and He loves each one of us.

What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

At one point in my life I wanted to be a Veterinarian.

If you had the opportunity to play another sport professionally, what sport would you choose?

If I had the opportunity to play another sport professionally it would be Basketball.

Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back” or “pay it forward” in your community?

Yes, I help coach as well as train kids.
