Aiden Wolk| Glenvar High School | QB | 2022

Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.
A: I was named as starter my Sophomore year. I have not been approached for recruiting as of yet, but hope that changes soon as my career progresses.

Q: When did you receive your first offer and what school was it from? How many offers have you received thus far?
A: None as of yet.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?
A: Being named as the starter & gaining the trust and confidence from my Coaches and teammates.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at your school?

A: To never stop studying the game because you can always learn and progress to become a better player.

Q: What have you learned during this unique time in 2020? What did you focus on or accomplish during Quarantine?
A: I have learned to never take things for granted. We expected a normal season, it’s anything but normal. I focus on keeping myself, as well as my teammates, as ready as we can for our season when it does happen.

Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?
A: I would like to be a mechanical engineer.

Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?
A: I feel they would consider me a leader, a hard worker and a committed player

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career so far?
A: My first touchdowns (running & passing), 1st interception I threw & breaking a school record for throwing 6 TD’s in one game.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?
A: My biggest challenge was to stop worrying about previous plays, such as an interception or a three and out. I learn to live in the present and to realize I can’t go back and fix an error just do my best to not make the same mistake twice.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?
A: I wouldn’t know who to compare myself with personally. I’ve had coaches compare me to Ben Roethlisberger because I am big, hard to bring down, maintain good arm strength and have a good understanding of the game.

Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?
A: I feel my biggest strengths would either be arm strength, size, field intelligence and team player.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?
A: I do as much as possible to help our younger athletes on their off the field preparation so they are on field lives could be more successful.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 High School National Scouting Combine and what are your goals for the combine?
A: I have been maintaining my off-season speed and agility, working with a private coach. I’m very fortunate to have access to a full weight room, to maintain my strength. I have worked out with D1 receivers & DBs in my area.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?
A: Ever since I first started playing I’ve had the dream and goal to play football collegiately.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?
A: Working out, spending time with my family & friends. I am a multi-position basketball player for my High School. Honored to be selected as a team Captain.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?
A: I’ve had a few influential people in my life. However it starts with my parents. Without them I wouldn’t love football the way I do today. Next is my brother and my cousins, they’ve taught me on how to take hits and to get back up when I’m down.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?
A: my loyalty, work ethic, my determination and my sense of humor.
