Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.
A: My freshman team was 9-0 and was a lot of fun. My sophomore year I started on JV, which also went undefeated, and was a backup on varsity. My junior year I started all 10 games and we ended getting a playoff birth but got knocked out first round.
Q: When did you receive your first offer and what school was it from? How many offers have you received thus far?
A: I got a roster spot offer from Hampden-Sydney in June, but have no D1 offers at the moment.
Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?
A: I want to major in some type of engineering. If football doesn’t work out, I will continue to pursue my major and live my life as an engineer after that.
Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?
A: My teammates and coaches have told me I am a great leader. One teammate last year is originally from the city of Philadelphia and told me that there aren’t kids with the heart like I have where he comes from.
Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?
A: My biggest challenge has been my size, I have always been a super skinny kid. The last year especially I have really worked to get my frame bigger and it has helped me tremendously.
Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?
A: I like to think I have a very similar mindset to Baker Mayfield. He is crazy and will do anything to win. I feel as if I match that level of competitiveness.
Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?
A: My ability to read defenses. This year, I would say I knew where I was throwing about 65% of the time pre-snap and just had to get the ball and spin it.
Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?
A: I also play Basketball. I’ve played both since I was very little.
Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?
A: My brother, Michael. He is 7 years older than me and was also a QB, but has done so much to guide me through my young career and life overall.
