About Max

What was the most important thing you learned during your career?

That hard work will get you where you want to go and that there are some people in your life that do not want to see you succeed.

What qualities do you possess that makes you a candidate for a professional contract?

I am a Hard and dedicated worker who will do what ever it takes to make the most of opportunities that are given to me. Also I am able to make the most of my time as you cxan see I have been able to finish tweo degrees while attending JSU, where going into it my goal was to optain an education.

What motivates you on and off the field?

My motivation on and off the field is just to succeed in what ever I am doing. If i am going to do something why not do it the best of my ability.

What was your major and why did you choose to study that field?

My major is Exercise science and wellness witrh a minor in nutrition, also i wioll have a masters at the end of april in human performance. I chose this education route because I would like to attend physical therapy school and become a physical therapists for the military. also one day I would like to own and operate my own performance institution like D1.

What is your routine like as you pursue a professional opportunity?

three days working with training in my hometown and with three days of on field work with teammates in order to keep my conditioning up.

What is or are some challenges you faced in your career and how did you overcome them?

Not highly recruited oput of highschool and was a perfered walk on at JSU until a day before signing day when I was put on a meal scholarship. For the first year of college I had to pay for it on my own with the help of my parents. Through hard work and determination i was able to obtain a full scholarship and become JSU starting center for the next four years.

What or who is your inspiration. How did you come to that conclusion?

My inspiration is my little brother who is a Type 1 Diabetic. He has not let the disease slow him down and he is a member of the University of Alabama Football team. Just seeing the obstacles he has overcome, it shows me what can be done when you do not listen to your critics and reach for your goals. Him being my inspiration is the reason I want to push so much harder in my work.

What is your fondest memory playing football?

Senior year against EIU at home for senior day at JSU, we where able to finally able to beat them and in doing so we won the conference. that moment all the hardwork that was done in the offseason to reach the goal and when it was finally reached it was a great emotional moment on the field for me when we where able to take a knee for the last play of the game and win the conference championship.
