WORLD FLAG SERIES OPENS PROFESSIONAL PATHWAY WITH JANUARY 7 COMBINE & TRYOUT IN NAPLES

WFS coaches, executives and players will evaluate athletes seeking an opportunity to compete professionally in women’s flag football.

NAPLES, FLORIDA | October 27, 2026 — World Flag Series (WFS) and the National Scouting Combine (NSC) will host a professional women’s flag football combine and tryout on January 7, 2027, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at FC Naples Stadium at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples, Florida.

The event will give athletes an opportunity to put their complete game directly in front of World Flag Series decision-makers.

Hosted as part of the National Scouting Combine’s 2027 All-Star Week, the event brings together NSC’s established athletic evaluation platform and WFS’s emerging professional flag football opportunities. With more than 15 years of experience in athlete evaluation and verified performance testing, the National Scouting Combine will provide a structured environment for athletes to demonstrate their abilities and pursue opportunities at the next level.

Participants will begin with standardized athletic testing administered by the National Scouting Combine before moving into position-specific drills and football evaluation led by WFS coaches and staff.

Selected athletes will be considered for professional opportunities with World Flag Series, with public player signings planned as part of the National Scouting Combine’s College All-Star Showcase Game later that evening. The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at FC Naples Stadium, bringing another exciting event to the Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

“For our first two events, we went out and found many of the best players in the world. Now we want to open the door,” said Philip Cutler, Founder and CEO of World Flag Series. “We know there are incredible athletes out there who may not yet have a national-team résumé or a huge following. If you believe you belong on the professional stage, January 7 is your opportunity to show us.”

“We’re excited to welcome the World Flag Series to Naples as part of our 2027 National Scouting Combine All-Star Week,” said Jimmy Kibble, CEO and Founder of the National Scouting Combine. “The growth of women’s flag football is creating incredible opportunities for athletes, and we’re proud to provide a platform where they can showcase their abilities and take the next step in their athletic journeys. Bringing WFS into our week of events reinforces our commitment to supporting athletes at every level and helping create new pathways for their success.”

Among the WFS athletes attending will be Haylie Young, quarterback of two-time WFS champion H.E.R. (Hustle Every Rep) and No. 2-ranked offensive player in the world. Young was named MVP of the inaugural World Flag Series event and has emerged as one of the early faces of professional flag football.

“Growing up, I always dreamed flag football would become professional and give me the opportunity to travel and play the sport I love,” Young said. “I’m proud to be part of something that’s creating so many opportunities for the next generation of female athletes.”

World Flag Series launched in 2026 with professional events in Tampa and Toronto and currently features four teams: H.E.R., Glitter Bombs, Midnight Ballers and Ice Queens.

The January 7 event marks the next step in building a direct pathway for athletes seeking to reach the professional level. It also adds another exciting dimension to the National Scouting Combine’s All-Star Week, bringing together youth, collegiate, draft-eligible and aspiring professional athletes for a week of competition, evaluation and opportunity in Southwest Florida.
