Q: Tell us about your college career and what the recruiting/scouting process was like. Why did you choose Murray State/University of Charleston?

A: My Career was one for the books. Coming out of highschool I had no stars and only a couple of offers from D3. One day a couple Murray state coaches came to watch me play in person and they liked what they saw. I chose Murray because they made me feel at home. When I transferred to UC it was a business decision and the best decision for me. Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at University Of Charleston?

A:  Never take for granted what god blessed me with. Play every down like it’s my last. THE ONLY PERSON THAT COULD STOP ME IS ME!

Q: What would your current/past teammates say about you and your qualities?

A:  I’m a teammate who leads by example and I don’t talk much unless I need too. I’m accountable and a hard worker. They would say my qualities as a player was my instincts, game speed, and my  knowledge would be my qualities.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career at any level?

A:  Playing Notre Dame in 2019. They had the top D2 running back on their team. One play he gets the ball and run to the opposite side of the field that I was at. He crosses back across the field and it’s me and him 1v1 and I ripped the ball out from him and scored like a 30 yard touchdown to help us get back in the game.

Q: Who was the best player you played against during your collegiate career?

A: I would say Roc Thomas from Jacksonville State was the best player I played against in college.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A: Budda Baker/ Jalen Ramsey. I’ve been watching Jalen since he came out of BA to FSU and I used to base my game off how he played. We not the same size but I feel some of the tools I have come from studying him so long. Budda is just a dog who has heart and never backs down. He is also versatile and can play anywhere in the backend/defense and I feel that I could do some of those things he does.

Q: If you could make a positive impact on all of society what would it be and why?

A: Starting a boys and girls club. Because Kids are the future and I feel school isn’t enough for them. Some kids NEED to have a safe haven for them to hang out at after school and some kids would just like to come to enjoy their day or even make new friends. I feel if we give kids more attention and more avenues to find out who they are that it would make a positive impact on society.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My older brother Derwin Whitt

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A: I don’t like cheese.
