Q: Tell us about your college career and what the recruiting process was like. Why did you choose Ferrum College?

A: My college career was rocky because I didn’t have solid numbers in the weight room to prove my ability to start. So I worked hard and i kept being persistent on being better than the man in front of me. I started my senior year because of my efforts. Recruiting was great I learned all the great history and the relation of Ferrum College to Marshall university. The history definitely brought me to ferrum

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: My greatest accomplishment would be making all conference my senior year on my first season as a starter

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at Ferrum College?

A: Learn to be happy for others success. In the end of our lives we will not be able to be content off of our own success.

Q: What was your major and what are your plans if football didn’t work out?

A: I’m an applied criminology major, I plan on being a cop in chesterfield or henrico Virginia. I want to make a difference in the community. I want to work as a police officer for a few years then apply to the FBI. I want to become apart of the hostage rescue unit.

Q: What would your teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: I’m the typical dad friend, apart from actually being a father. If my friends need anything I’m there for them, I will do everything in my power to make sure they get the assistance they need.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: My biggest challenge was definitely taking a year off of school to help my mom and dad with bills. My dad had cancer so he was unable to work, so while my mom watched him me and my brother went to work. As my dad was approved for disability I joined the army national guard to help me pay for my school, and this brought me back to school. When I came back to school my sophomore year I met my now wife, we found out she was pregnant so she dropped out of school to watch our son while I finish my degree. If it wasn’t for the army and my wife school would’ve been in my rear view mirror so I owe them a lot.

Q: What is your biggest strength that you bring to a professional team and why should pro scouts consider you?

A: I’m quick, I have a high motor, and I motivate all of those around me. I believe I help those around me reach the level they need to be at.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My mom and dad. When we lived in Baltimore my dad owned his own business. Only problem was soon after his business took off the economy went down hill. So no one was needing his services, soon he had no money for anything. We went 2 months without electricity and my mom and dad always tried to make the best out of it.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?

A: Right now I work with the other college football players during their off season. I have a great power clean form, so I am trying to help some of the player reach their desired weight for their power clean max.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2019 National Scouting Combine and what were your expectations?

A: I don’t have the money for any trainers so I’m training myself, so I’m working myself out and trying to help improve my 40 yard dash start. I expect the combine to test me as an athlete, but I’m definitely prepared.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: My ultimate achievement would be to at least make a practice squad for the NFL. I want to be able to provide for my family so they never have to worry about anything ever again. I am a big role model for my family right now because I am actually the first member of my family to attend college, let alone play a college sport.
