Q: Tell us about your college career and what the recruiting process was like. Why did you choose Northern Illinois University?

A: My college career is a little different from most of the athletes attending the combine. I played rugby for Northern Illinois University and I transferred and finished my career at Bethel University (IN). I chose Bethel because Rugby is a varsity sport with scholarship there. Also, because I knew the team and coaching staff would truly develop me into the best rugby player possible.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: my biggest sport accomplishment would be winning the NSCRO rugby challenge cup national championship in 2017

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at Northern Illinois University?

A: “Stay in the fight” -Coach Knowlton. I personally faced a lot of adversity in college. Losing a childhood friend to violence, and my dad passing. My coach instilling stay in the fight through sport, allowed me to use that concept when dealing with life.

Q: What was your major and what are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A: My Major was sport studies and if football didn’t workout I planed on coaching and getting into the fitness industry as a trainer or gym owner.

Q: What would your current/past teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: My current/past teammates would say I’m a leader through action. I wasn’t named the team captain. However, I was a leader. They would say I have a relentless work ethic and I make those playing with me better.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career at any level?

A: My most memorable play is scoring a try in the All-American game at the Olympic training center in Chula Vista, California.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: My biggest challenge has been really converting back over to football and not necessarily have a team environment to practice and play in. I manage this by watching a ton of practice and game film of NFL and college teams.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A: Jared Hayne, who is a professional rugby player the earned a pre-season spot with the 49ers. Jared Hayne chose to return to rugby, but has inspired me to follow the same path being a rugby player and becoming a professional football player.

Q: What is your biggest strength that you bring to a professional team and why should pro scouts consider you?

A: My biggest Strength is my ability to play multiple positions. In rugby if you are on the field you play both sides of the ball, it’s not a choice. If you watch my rugby film you will see me make tackles, run the ball, catch kicks, chase kicks, I even kicked the ball sometimes. I would be comfortable playing any special teams position, offense, and defense.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?

A: Since I got home in January of 2019 from Bethel University (IN). I have been coaching and working at my old HS, Thornton Fractional South High School. In doing so I feel that is me giving back to my community. Mentoring and preparing these young athletes for life after High school. Also really helping them through their recruiting process.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 National Scouting Combine and what are your goals?

A: I am training twice a day. Lifting and conditioning in the morning, and football and combine skill/drills at night.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: My ultimate achievement would be playing football professionally. Using that platform to really create change within multiple communities, and within my own family.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football?

A: I really enjoy coaching when I’m not playing football.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My mom is hands down the most influential person in my life.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A: I don’t think there is anything unique about me. I just have a dream of playing pro football and doing my part to create as much change as possible.
