Q: Tell us about your college (or pro) career and what the recruiting/scouting process was like. Why did you choose (Enter school name)?

A: My college career started in 2014 when I got recruited by the ITESM campus Toluca, several teams in Mexico called me, but when Toluca called, they told me they just lost the national championship by a FG and if I joined them I would make the champions, 2 years after I made the championship-winning FG. After my college career I went on and played for the LFA (Pro football in Mexico), I got drafted on the LFA-CFL draft as the number 1 pick for the Montreal Alouettes, In Mexico I played for Osos Toluca and currently a player from Pioneros Queretaro

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: Being able to play pro and keep on chasing more opportunities and prove I can be the best.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at (Enter school name)?

A: To never quit, to always give my best on every kick because Kickers can win you championships

Q: How was your career impacted due to the 2020 pandemic and what have you learned from the adversity?

A: It was hard because I was trying to be back in the CFL and with all the pandemic was hard to reach on teams but it is teaching me to never give up, have faith, keep working and the opportunities will come.

Q: What was your major and what are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A: Business administration and if football does not work out, work at the family´s business

Q: What would your current/past teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: They say I got what it takes to compete against any kicker in any league and that I am a hard worker who always chase his dreams

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career at any level?

A: I would say the championship-winning FG in college because it was the school’s first championship and also being able to have the Longest FG in LFA´s history (60 yds) and second longest (59), also the longest punt (94 yds)

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: I have mental toughness but my wife helped me to be relax at all time, I just breathe, think about her and my family and enjoy the process and just pray and have faith that everything will go well.

I am giving my best everyday so I can get there and compete, my goals are to get seen by a team and get signed and show them I can be the best kicker.

~ Enrique Yenny
