Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.

A: I am a rising junior at Madison, and my sophomore year was great. I earned a starting spot on the DL at a 6A school. I was named first team all-district and all region on the DL and had a fun year at the varsity level. The recruiting process for me has been a struggle, and I am still currently waiting on my first offer.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: My biggest accomplishment is definitely earning my spot on the varsity team and then earning first team all-district and region as a sophomore.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at your school?

A: The biggest thing I’ve learned is attitude and effort, because our coaches say that’s the only thing we can control on a football field.

Q: What have you learned during this unique time in 2020? What did you focus on or accomplish during Quarantine?

A: I learned to look at this time as a gift to get stronger and faster. I increased my maxes in the weight room and feel a lot faster than where I used to be.

Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A: I think I want to try something in business I don’t really know exactly what I want to do yet, but I know I want to do a job where I’m moving around and talking to people.

Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?

A:  I feel that my teammates would say that I’m a good leader and fun to be around. I’m very rarely in a bad mood.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career so far?

A: It’s fourth down in a big conference game against our rivals Westfield, and I come up with a huge sack to get us the ball back.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: Before last year my biggest challenge was confidence, and I didn’t believe I was good as I was. It all clicked for me in August of last year when I looked to my left and beside me and realized that I was practicing next to our senior DE and LB. From then on, I’ve had the confidence to be successful.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A: I like to model my game around Derek Jeter, and I know he isn’t a football player, but I enjoy watching the way he conducts himself. I like how he is quiet goes about his business and dominates his opponents.

Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?

A: I feel like my biggest strength isn’t my size or speed it’s my brain, because I was blessed with having an uncle who was a coach in the arena league. So he has taught me a thing or two about football.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?

A: I am a part of the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL).  It is an organization that works on giving back to our community.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 High School National Scouting Combine and what are your goals for the combine?

A: I have been lifting and running with my speed coach. I have never been the fastest kid out there, so my overall goal is to walk out of the combine with recognition, and get my name out there.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: I’ve always struggled with math, so the most memorable achievement I have in the classroom is earning an A in geometry freshman year.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?

A: I love to play baseball and I love to wrestle. I may not be the best at wrestling, but I just love to compete against other people.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My grandfather has always taught me how to conduct myself on a field and in life. He also has taught me a lot about football in my life.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A: I don’t enjoy listening to all the music kids listen to today. I love listening to 80’s music like Billy Joel. I also enjoy listening to bands like nirvana, Motley Crue and AC/DC.
