Pierre Harris Jr. | Mountain View HS | WR | 2024

Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.

A: I’m just entering High School as a freshmen. So, the recruiting process hasn’t started, but many of my coaches have expressed I’ll have my choices at colleges.

Q: When did you receive your first offer and what school was it from? How many offers have you received thus far?

A: No offers as of right now, but I plan to continue to work hard on my craft to receive many offers as possible.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: Being named the overall MVP of my 8th grade football team.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at your school?

A: Putting my academics first, and being a person who Character speaks volumes of the type of person I am. Also, finding ways to make my team better, because being the best player doesn’t mean anything if your team not winning.

Q: What have you learned during this unique time in 2020? What did you focus on or accomplish during Quarantine?

A: I learned that I like school better than sitting at home. I focused on being the best me and getting better every day. It also showed me how to be innovative at working out at home. Just because a Pandemic is going on, doesn’t mean I sat around and not do anything.

Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A: I would major in Microbiology & Immunology. My plans if football doesn’t work is to get a good education and then start a successful Career. But, I would never stop playing the game I love.

Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: That I’m a rare and raw talent, because not only am I good in football. I play basketball, soccer and run track & field.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career so far?

A:  There’s been a pretty few memorable plays, but one that stands out was when I had ran a 70yd interception back for a touchdown.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: My biggest challenge is being more confident in my abilities when there is just as good or better competition. I would manage this, by working even harder every day, and asking the competition what do they do to get better.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A:  I really haven’t compared myself to anyone. There’s a lot of great Wide Receivers out there. But, I would compare to a collegiate or pro athlete that carry themselves like a professional on/off the field. Many athletes don’t realize your reputation supersedes you, and you’re always under a microscope. I do love the way Torrey Smith carries himself. His attitude is always positive, and he loves giving back to the community.

Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?

A: Being versatile, and playing where my coaches and teammates needs me. I want to put my team in the best position to win.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?

A: During Christmas time my sisters and I do this thing called Operation Christmas Child. We make goody bags and give kids who are less fortunate toys.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 High School National Scouting Combine and what are your goals for the combine?

A: I’ve been training three times a week with a Personal Trainer. As mentioned above, I’ve been doing different workouts at home in my basement.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: Would be making it to the NFL or NBA. This would give me the opportunity to give back to my parents whose sacrifice so much, and also my community.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?

A: I also play basketball, soccer, and I use to play baseball. I also enjoy spending time with my family and playing outside with my friends.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My Mom and Dad.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A: I’ve been cutting grass the last two years so I can save up for college. Doing this has given me a sense of responsibility and why I’m going to work even harder in school to be successful.
