Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.
A: My high school career has been great so far. I’ve always been pushed by my teammates, and I have learned a lot from them. The recruiting process picked up a bit during the quarantine, and I have been in contact with multiple coaches at the next level.

Q: When did you receive your first offer and what school was it from? How many offers have you received thus far?
A: I received an offer in May from Valparaiso, and that is currently my only offer so far.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?
A: Being selected by my teammates as a captain for my junior year.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at your school?
A: My coaches have always told the team to be strong-minded. If you have a strong mind then you can perform at a high level even when you may be tired. This mindset has driven me through the past few years and has helped me both on and off the field.

Q: What have you learned during this unique time in 2020? What did you focus on or accomplish during Quarantine?
A: I have learned to always stay ready. In these times of uncertainty there’s a lot of possibilities on how the future will go. I’ve been working hard the past couple months to be ready whenever they let us gear up. I also suffered a torn labrum back in November which I have now fully recovered from, and my lifting numbers now exceed what they were at before the surgery.

Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?
A: I plan on studying kinesiology or exercise science in college. My goal is to one day become a physical therapist.

Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?
A: My teammates would say I am very motivated, and always lead by example. I am not always the loudest, but I still lead on and off the field.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career so far?
A: My most memorable play of my career is scoring a 79 yard rushing touchdown while my shoulder was torn.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?
A: My biggest challenge has been staying healthy, as I have had a few minor injuries over the years. I took this off time to really focus on stretching and recovery. I plan on continuing this into the season to be able to compete at a high level deep into the playoffs.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?
A: I would compare myself to Matt Breida. I think we both do a good job in the screen/passing game. He also has great breakaway speed which I think is a trait I have as well. We aren’t the biggest backs, but still run hard and can make plays.

Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?
A: My drive is my biggest strength. No matter what I’m doing I will push myself and complete the task to the best of my ability. I never give up, and will always fight through adversity.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?
A: Each Thanksgiving, I help in preparing meal boxes for families, containing all the necessities for a good Thanksgiving meal. We then pack the boxes into various cars, which are then brought to schools where they are given to those who need them.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 High School National Scouting Combine and what are your goals for the combine?
A: I have been preparing by working many different skills over the past few weeks. I have gotten my speed up, as well as my agility. My goals for the combine is to turn some heads and perform at the highest level I can.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?
A: My ultimate achievement would be to leave a lasting impact on my school, team, and community. I hope years down the road I can serve as a role model to those who need, and drive them to be the best person they can.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?
A: I enjoy being active. Whether that’s lifting, running, or anything outdoors, I typically enjoy it. I have also run track for three years, which I have also greatly enjoyed.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?
A: My dad has been the most influential person in my life. He is very successful, and I look up to him very much. He pushes me to be the best man I can be, and is supportive in whatever I do.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?
A: Some unique things about me are that I am left-handed and I have four siblings.
