Athletic Career

● Did you play in college? If so, what was your recruiting process like, and what challenges or surprises did you encounter?

– Yes, I played football in college. I played at two universities. My first university was Mercyhurst University then I transferred to Lawrence University. The recruiting process was intense but a rewarding process. I never really encountered a challenge during my recruiting process but I was surprised at how many other athletes were also being recruited along with me, especially when I was a high school senior going into my freshman year and trying to find a home.

● What do you consider your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far, and why does it stand out to you?

– My biggest accomplishment in my sports career so far is never quitting. No matter how difficult it was, I stayed true to myself as a person and as a player and did what I had to do to become successful. I didn’t walk away when adversity hit.

● What is one of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your athletic journey, and how has it shaped you?

– An important lesson I learned was to treat everything you do the same with 100% effort every time. Being consistent is the best thing. Just because something is easy doesn’t mean you give it less attention and effort than something that’s more difficult.

Performance & Training

● Can you walk us through a typical training day—both during the season and in the off-season?

– When I was in season a typical day started with pre practice followed by regular practice. Depending on the day we had lift after practice but if not it was extra recovery. Always keeping your body right and providing as much nutrients as possible. In the off season my training day consisted of a lot more intense weight lifting than in season. We had scheduled lifts and conditioning times.

● How do you mentally prepare for competition, showcases, and games? Do you have any specific routines or rituals?

– I mentally prepare throughout the week so when it comes the night before the game and then the morning of the game I can ease my mind and I don’t have to think about everything and get into my own head. I loved staying quiet and keeping to myself until game time and always making sure to stay happy and positive and keep my head clear. I don’t have any specific routines or rituals, I just be myself.

● What has been the biggest challenge of your athletic career, and how did you work through or overcome it?

– The biggest challenge of my athletic career was overcoming a bad first few years of college ball and being told I wasn’t good enough and that I bring no value to my team. Hearing that constantly from a coach was really degrading and hurtful. I overcame that by transferring and knowing my worth and making it my goal to prove them all wrong.

● During times when you’re not performing at your best, how do you find the motivation to keep going?

– I find the motivation to keep going by remembering where I came from and who helped get me to the position that I’m in today. Never forget the people who helped you and the ones in the stands supporting you.

Team Dynamics & Leadership

● How has being part of a team influenced your personal growth and leadership style?

– Being a part of a team changed my life. It has shown me how to talk and communicate with people on all levels and it gave me life long qualities I can use as a man in the real world and as a player.

● Can you share a moment when you had to step up as a leader, on or off the field? What did you learn from that experience?

– Stepping up as a leader isn’t always about football and sports. Being a leader in your community is also very important and being a nice human being. I take pride in treating others the same way you want to be treated. I hold doors for everyone on campus and whenever I’m in public, leading that and showing that example can bring a lot more people together.

● In your opinion, what qualities make someone a great teammate?

– In my opinion, qualities that make somebody a great teammate are selflessness, honesty, great work ethic, communication skills, positive mindset and respect.

● What is one early lesson you learned in your career that has had a lasting impact on your success?

– It may sound simple, but practice how you play. That lesson is so true and how you approach everything leading up to the game will determine how you perform.

Off-the-Field Life & Mindset

● How do you handle pressure from fans, media, and expectations about your performance?

– I answer questions with honesty and respect. I focus on what I can actually control. Another important one is to lean on your support system, your friends, family and teammates and coaches. Use negativity as motivation.

● What role does mental health play in your success as an athlete, and how do you maintain your mental well-being?

– Mental health is huge. You can be in the best physical shape of your life, but that 225lb bench press isn’t going to help you when adversity in your life hits. It’s how strong you are mentally, that’s what will drive your success and make sure you stay firing on all cylinders. I maintain positive mental health by doing hobbies I enjoy and switching up my routine every once and a while. Most importantly, surround yourself with good people.

● What’s one thing people often misunderstand about what it takes to compete at your level?

– People on the outside look at what level you play at and what division you are in and whether you’re a good player or not and that you are a starter. Regardless of any of that, It takes so much to be the best version of yourself. Just like any big commitment. The actual physical and mental toughness you need to have day in and day out is incomprehensible.

● If you could make one positive impact on society, what would it be and why?

– Just spreading kindness and respect. I want to make it known that doing that isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength. The world needs more kindness.

● How would you describe your work ethic, and how has it contributed to your success?

– I would describe my work ethic as consistent. Having a strong and consistent work ethic helped me earn every accomplishment and goal and award I ever received. Attacking everything the same everyday is what contributed to my success.

Your Future

● What do you hope to prove or demonstrate to scouts at the 2026 National Scouting Combine?

– That heart, passion, and 100% relentless effort outworks pure talent. Being humble and knowing you’re not going to be the best on the field but you’re going to play and compete at the highest level and act like you are. Also, I want to prove and demonstrate that I am coachable and an all around athlete. I can do whatever task given and play any position that’s asked of me.

● Where do you see yourself five years after your athletic career ends?

– I see myself sticking to my true passions and staying involved with the game as much as I possibly can. Also, putting my degree to good use and finding a job that can allow me to be successful and provide for the ones I love.

● What legacy do you hope to leave behind in your sport?

– Never quit and never give up when things get tough. Play every snap like it’s your last and do it all with a smile on your face. Go out there and do what you love.
