Q: Tell us about your high school career and what the recruiting process has been like thus far.

A: My high school career has been amazing so far, starting as a freshman on varsity has made the game a lot easier for me. The recruiting process has been fun so far. I’ve had some FBS and FCS schools talk to me but my age makes it hard for me really take things to the next step.

Q: When did you receive your first offer and what school was it from? How many offers have you received thus far?

A: No offers yet.

Q: What would you consider to be your biggest accomplishment in your sports career so far?

A: I think getting 105 tackles my sophomore year has been by biggest accomplishment so far.

Q: What do you consider to be one of the more important things you learned from the coaching staff while playing at your school?

A: How to watch and learn from film sessions.

Q: What have you learned during this unique time in 2020? What did you focus on or accomplish during Quarantine?

A: Don’t take things for granted.  I have gained 35 lbs since wrestling ended in February. I lift and speed train 5-7 days a week.

Q: If you could play in college, what would you choose to major in? What are your plans if football doesn’t work out?

A: I think I want to major in sports management. If I can’t play football for a living, I still want to be around the game in some capacity as a coach or mentor.

Q: What would your current teammates say about you and your qualities?

A: High football IQ and work ethic.

Q: What has been one of the most memorable plays of your career so far?

A: A scoop and score against William Byrd to win the game.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge and how do you manage it?

A: Trying to maintain a healthy weight for football and wrestling. Sometimes you can lose a lot of weight during the grind of wrestling.

Q: If you could compare yourself to a collegiate or pro athlete, who would that be and why?

A: Isaiah Simmons from Clemson because of his size and speed. He can also play multiple positions.

Q: What is your biggest strength and why should college coaches & scouts consider you?

A: I am a student of the game, but my coaches say I have an ability to get to the ball and read plays.

Q: Are you involved in mentoring, a charity or do you “give back”/”pay it forward” in your community?

A: I am a member of Fellowship Community Church and often volunteer for various events through my church.

Q: How are you preparing for the 2020 High School National Scouting Combine and what are your goals for the combine? Working out 5-7 times a week on strength and speed.

A: Attending as many workout sessions as possible. My goal for the combine is to showcase my talent to recruiters and coaches and hopefully be the best linebacker there.

Q: What would be your ultimate achievement?

A: To be near the top in all of the drills.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when not playing football? Do you play other sports?

A: Working out and wrestling. I am a two-time state placer in wrestling.

Q: Who is or has been the most influential person in your life?

A: My dad. He is my biggest fan and supporter. He always pushes me and keeps me on the right path to stay hungry and humble.

Q: What is something unique about you that people would find interesting?

A: I have to use a sound machine to sleep at night.
