National Scouting Combine and USA Bobsled & Skeleton Continue Partnership Entering 2026

The National Scouting Combine is proud to continue its long-standing partnership with USA Bobsled & Skeleton, a collaboration that has helped connect elite athletic talent with Olympic-level opportunity since 2020.

Expanding Athlete Pathways Beyond Football

Over the past several years, the partnership has played a vital role in expanding USA Bobsled & Skeleton’s athlete identification and recruiting efforts. Through the National Scouting Combine’s performance-based testing environment, bobsled and skeleton personnel are able to evaluate athletes who possess the foundational traits required to compete at the international level — speed, strength, power, and explosiveness.

“USA Bobsled and Skeleton has been incredibly grateful for the partnership with National Scouting Combine,” said Curt Tomasevicz, Director of Sport Performance for USA Bobsled & Skeleton. “In the past few years, we’ve been able to expand our recruiting efforts to the exceptional athletes that have attended the combine. We are searching for athletes with speed, strength, and power, and the NSC allows us to review and connect with the right athletes and provide them with an opportunity to try bobsled and skeleton.”

A Proven Evaluation Platform

Since the partnership began, the National Scouting Combine has served as a unique evaluation platform for athletes seeking opportunities beyond traditional football pathways. By providing verified testing data and direct access to national and international decision-makers, the combine continues to help athletes identify professional, alternative, and Olympic-level options.

Leadership Perspective on the Partnership

“Our mission has always been about creating real opportunity for athletes,” said Jimmy Kibble, CEO and Founder of the National Scouting Combine. “Partnering with USA Bobsled & Skeleton allows us to do exactly that. The combine gives their staff a chance to identify athletes with elite physical traits, while giving our athletes a legitimate pathway to pursue something bigger — including the possibility of competing on the Olympic stage.”

From Combine Testing to Olympic Potential

Tomasevicz emphasized the importance of the combine as an entry point for athletes who may be unfamiliar with sliding sports.

“It has been a path for several athletes to potentially earn a way to becoming an Olympian, even if they don’t have any sliding experience prior to testing at the combine,” he said.

As the National Scouting Combine prepares for future events, the continued partnership with USA Bobsled & Skeleton reinforces the organization’s commitment to expanding athlete exposure, education, and access to elite-level opportunities across professional and international sports.
